ISTRC Professional Committee Members Workshop 2023 – Roundtable Event – RECORDING

GOAL
The ISTRC Professional Committee Members Workshop 2023 - Roundtable Event was held in collaboration with ISERD (Israel-Europe Research & Innovation Directorate).
The workshop was designed to unite groups of researchers towards Horizon Europe 2023-24 Calls in the Smart Transportation domain:

  • Get familiar with relevant Horizon Europe 2023-24 Calls
  • Get familiar and network with potential partners from all sectors

10 selected Calls were chosen by the ISTRC Professional Committees' chairs to be presented at the workshop, while the following 3 Calls were discussed in the "Round Tables" facilitated by ISERD and ISTRC:

  1. HORIZON-CL5-2024-D6-01-08: Improved transport infrastructure performance – Innovative digital tools and solutions to monitor and improve the management and operation of transport infrastructure
  2. HORIZON-CL5-2024-D6-01-06: Optimising multimodal network and traffic management, harnessing data from infrastructures, mobility of passengers and freight transport
  3. HORIZON-CL5-2024-D6-01-09: Policies and governance shaping the future transport and mobility systems

The Israel Innovation Authority together with the Israeli Smart Transportation Research Center (ISTRC) conducted a dedicated webinar on Smart Transportation, aiming to promote collaboration between the academy and the industry researchers.

During the webinar, the Israel Innovation Authority presented their funding programs, following ISTRC’s presentation of the Center’s open Call for Research. The two opportunities are complementary to each other.

Upon the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, the Israeli Smart Transportation Research Center initiated a Call for Research named “CoroNa” for research proposals targeting transportation and coronavirus.

A total of 38 proposals were submitted from 13 academic institutions, of which 6 proposals won a total of ILS 550,000, involving 14 researchers from 5 academic institutions in Israel.
