01/05/2024: The 4th Annual & Students Conference of the Israeli Smart Transportation Research Center – CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

The 4th Israeli Smart Transportation Research Center Annual & Students Conference will be hosted by Ben-Gurion University of the Negev on Thursday, 27th of June 2024.

The conference will spotlight the crucial issue of safeguarding transportation resilience in the face of disruptions and disasters.

Researchers from academy, industry and public sector, as well as students in the domain of Smart Transportation are welcome to submit their abstracts for participation in the conference.

Before submitting your abstract, please read carefully the CALL FOR ABSTRACTS.

ISTRC is a main sponsor of the 5th Symposium on Management of Future Motorway and Urban Traffic Systems (MFTS) which is organized and managed by the Technion. The international symposium is scheduled to take place on September 4-6, 2024 in Heraklion, Crete.

We are inviting you to submit an abstract.

Students who are considering to submit an abstract to MFTS, are welcome to submit an application for the ISTRC Call for Conference Grants Summer 2024.

ISTRC – ISERD: Pilot for Horizon 2024 Calls in Smart Transportation – Roundtable Event

GOAL
With the goal to increase the number of submissions to the Horizon 2024 Program in the area of Smart Mobility, ISTRC, together with ISERD, joined effort, and tailor a pilot towards Horizon Calls with deadline on September 5, 2024.

In this pilot we are aiming to provide a holistic support; maximizing ISERD tools & services as well as the ISTRC network and connections, to unite teams of researchers and to submit winning proposals.

As part of this effort, we hosted a roundtable event, with discussion groups led by scientific managers, each focusing on one specific "Horizon 2024 Call".

HORIZON CALLS THAT WERE DISCUSSED

  1. HORIZON-CL5-2024-D6-01-04: AI for advanced and collective perception and decision making for CCAM applications (CCAM Partnership)

  2. HORIZON-CL5-2024-D6-01-12: A new framework to improve traffic safety culture in the EU
    Scientific Manager and Coordinator: Prof. Wafa Elias, Sami Shamoon College of Engineering
  3. HORIZON-CL5-2024-D6-01-11: Effects of disruptive changes in transport: towards resilient, safe and energy efficient mobility
  4. HORIZON-CL5-2024-D6-01-09: Policies and governance shaping the future transport and mobility systems
  5. HORIZON-CL5-2024-D6-01-06: Optimising multimodal network and traffic management, harnessing data from infrastructures, mobility of passengers and freight transport

ISTRC Call for Prizes 2023 – WINNERS

Congratulations to the winners for receiving their well-deserved prizes in the ISTRC Call for Prizes 2023:!

10 prizes were allocated in the various categories. In total, 77 students from 7 academic institutions in Israel received prizes:

  • 3 prizes in the Best Refereed Paper Prizes for PhD Student category
  • 1 prize in the Best Refereed Paper Prize for Master Student category
  • 1 prize in the Excellent Project / Seminar Prize for Non-Research Master Students category (2 students)
  • 3 prizes in the Excellent Project / Seminar Prize for Bachelor Students category
  • 2 prizes in the Student Teams Competitions Prize (more than 10 students) category (68 students)
