Round Tables – The Tel Aviv Metro Plan: Planning, Economic and Social Aspects – RECORDING

The Round Tables event was hosted by the Aaron Institute for Economic Policy, the Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya – IDC and ISTRC, and was chaired by Prof. Omer Moav, Tiomkin School of Economics and Aaron Institute, IDC.

The objective of the round tables was to introduce to the Israeli audience the importance of the metro plan as the core of the Tel Aviv Metropolitan Area Transportation Strategic Plan, its impact on mobility, economy, and quality of life.

Ariel University Electric Car For The Elderly

Israeli Students’ Electric Car for Elderly to Compete in Dubai-Based Global Grad Show

An electric car for the elderly developed by students in the Mechanical Engineering & Mechatronics Department of Ariel University was selected to participate in this year’s GLOBAL GRAD SHOW, a now-virtual gathering of graduate and university social impact projects held in Dubai. This was the first year the exhibition has received applications from an Israeli school, and Ariel University was the only Israeli institution to win a place this year with its Electric Car for the Elderly project.

ISTRC Students Survey

We invite students (Master – Post-Doc) who study and conduct research in the Smart Transportation domain to participate in our “Students Survey”.

The survey is designed to:

  • Map all students in the smart transportation domain
  • Provide opportunity to take part in the center’s activities and influence its operative student programs
  • Provide opportunities to promote the graduate students’ research as well as their career in this field

WINNING PROPOSALS: ISTRC Call for Research – CoroNa – Research Proposals Targeting Transportation and Coronavirus

"CoroNa" Call for Research - WINNING PROPOSALS

Upon the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, the Israeli Smart Transportation Research Center initiated a Call for Research named "CoroNa" for research proposals targeting transportation and coronavirus.

A total of 38 proposals were submitted from 13 academic institutions, of which 6 proposals won a total of ILS 550,000, involving 14 researchers from 5 academic institutions in Israel.
