The objective of this call is to support policy papers based on academic research that inform transportation policy and strategic decision-making in Israel, as ISTRC works to bridge research and policymaking through evidence-based, actionable, and interdisciplinary insights.

The Samson International Smart Mobility Summit 2026 organized by the Ministry of Transport & Road Safety has been postponed to take place on May 17-18, 2026 in Tel Aviv.
The Samson Smart Mobility Summit is one of the leading global platforms for discussion on the future of mobility. It gathers the most distinguished decision-makers, preeminent business leaders, innovators, policymakers, and academia to explore the trends shaping mobility in the 21st century.

ISTRC invites high-quality proposals for workshops addressing key challenges in smart transportation through interdisciplinary approaches, with a particular emphasis on the integration of data science, engineering, and policy.
This call supports two types of workshops:

The International Transport Forum (ITF) holds its Annual Summit where transport ministers meet with researchers, industry leaders, and representatives of civil society to discuss key policy challenges facing the sector. In 2026, the ITF will again present its Young Researcher Award to recognize outstanding work by young researchers. The theme of this Annual Summit is "Funding Resilient Transport".

האגודה הישראלית למחקר תחבורה (איל"ת) מהווה במה להצגת מחקרים בתחום התחבורה ולקידום ושיתוף ידע בתחום התחבורה. הכנס השנתי הוא הזדמנות למפגש בין מחקר ופרקטיקה, עידוד שיתופי פעולה של העוסקים בתחום ויצירת קהילה תוססת. האגודה קוראת לעוסקים ועוסקות במחקר ובמדיניות תחבורה להציג פרויקטים, מחקרים ויוזמות. ניתן להגיש הצעות למושב שלם בתחום התחבורה, או הצעות להרצאה בודדת והצעות למושב פוסטרים.

"ISTRC Call for Conference Grants WINTER 2025" is published on October 28, 2025.
Students and young researchers whose research falls within the Smart Transportation domain and who have submitted an article to an international conference are invited to apply.
